I bought a Gameboy Advance with a custom shell, but the AGS-001 screen sucks and I want to swap the screen out. I know it's a bit complicated swapping screens to an AGS-001 mobo, so I'd rather just gut a 101 model for its components. Will they fit or would it require modifying the case?
Most Helpful Answer. @blockyboxguy depends on how badly you soaked your charging board and the circuit board etc. Vinegar is a conductor so you may have created a short. Post some good pictures of your board etc., with your QUESTION. After that clean your circuit board with +90% isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush.
Looks great! Personally I think it's the way the agb should have been released, then the one and only release of the sp could've been the 101. But, at least now we can go back and change history with these mods. š
Switching out the housing on this Gameboy Advance AGS-101 mod I did for a friend. Hopefully it is dark enough now. Gameboy shell & buttons from RetroModding.
