24-70 is sharper and faster and $1000 more expensive. You get what you pay for. If street is most important the low light benefit of the faster lens probably isn’t necessary. A lot of wedding photographers like the 24-70 for dark indoor photography.

Disappointed by Ef 24-105 f4 with M50. i have the classic (old version) 24-105 f4 that i loved on the EOS 40D, but whilst it is still lovely and surpirsingly nice to use (yes, know it massive, but roll with it) with the M50. I really do like my EF 35/2 IS, and have been contemplating adding a mid-range zoom, including the 24-70/4 IS, and, especially the 24-70/2.8L II. It may be better to save the money. (My “aging” former work-horse EF 24-105/4L is actually quite nice; no hurry to buy anything.)

The Canon is a very nice lens for the price. In fact, it's probably the lowest price USM zoom in the Canon line, and one of the best lens VALUES around. It's only about $50 more than the Sigma.
